Welcome to our new special school community. We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school community will learn and grow—the Yuggera, Jagera and Ugarapul people. We honour Elders past and present and recognise the ongoing connection of First Nations peoples to Country, culture, community and storytelling.
It is with great excitement and pride that we welcome students, families, staff and community members as we begin the journey of establishing a new special school alongside Leichhardt State School. Our school is being built on the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, included and supported to thrive. We are committed to creating a learning environment where students are known, celebrated for who they are and provided with opportunities to grow academically, socially and emotionally.
As a co-located school community, we look forward to building strong partnerships with families and the community to create meaningful opportunities for connection, inclusion and belonging for all students. This school is more than just buildings and classrooms—it will be shaped by relationships, trust, collaboration and shared aspirations for our students and families. We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to working with you as we build a community where every student can learn, participate and succeed.
